Fanatec likes to combine products, and the R300 is a very good example of this, is a combination of 4 products, the Podium Wheel Rim R300, Podium Hub, Podium Advanced Paddle Module, and ClubSport Button Cluster Pack, all make a multi-purpose wheel full of tech for high-end users.

What I really like the most is the premium smooth leather and gold stitching, I think is the same Pattern we see in the all Direct Drive series. The shape and diameter is 30cm, making this wheel a good all-rounder ( Good for almost any game type and competition style ) With this ring and the Modular design in mind, the customization and flexibility are endless, you can adjust buttons, paddles in almost any position and thanks to the HUB it is possible to run third-party steering wheels on PC using this Hub.

  • if you are looking for a multi-purpose wheel, don't look any furthermore.
  • The full functionality can only be guaranteed on PC
  • Hight Customisation and Flexibility
  • Price is high
  • You won't find in the market a better paddle system; you can use them in any shape, clutch bite point mode, clutch/handbrake mode, brake/throttle mode, and mappable axis mode.
  • Not very common in Fanatec; features mounting holes for use with any wheel rims.

Final Analyze

It seems pricey but when you take a closer look for the $500 you get the $200 universal hub and the $180 advanced paddle module. If you compare this for example with a Forumla Carbon that costs 300$ ( only ring ) this’s not looking that bad after all.  All combine you will get almost the same price for new generation equipment.
